A Brain-boosting Mānuka Honey & Turmeric Latte

Certified Nutritionist, Charlotte LaGuardia (aka @thriveeastnutrition), recently tagged us in a post where she'd used our Mānuka Honey in a recipe for a Brain Boosting Turmeric Latte. We knew we had to try it because it sounds delicious and it has so many benefits!

Charlotte writes that "Turmeric, most famous for its active ingredient, curcumin, is a rockstar when it comes to anti-inflammatory and neurotrophic actions."

And that "Along with black pepper and cinnamon your brain is in for a real treat! All three spices have been shown to suppress inflammatory pathways, improve memory by increasing the availability of acetylcholine and improve overall cognition."

Combine all this with genuine Mānuka Honey and we think it's a winner!

 

Here's how to make it:

1/2 cup almond milk
1/2 cup coconut milk
1 tsp turmeric
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1/8 tsp cinnamon
2 scoops collagen powder
1/4 tsp @manukorahoney
Pinch nutmeg

  1. Add milk to a small sauce pan on medium low.
  2. Add turmeric, black pepper, and cinnamon, whisk until edges begin to bubble.
  3. Remove from heat whisk in the collagen powder.
  4. Pour into a mug, mix in honey, and top with a pinch of nutmeg.
