A Harvest From New Zealand’s
West Coast

Tucked behind an old harbour church near New Zealand's coast sits a clearing of old Mānuka trees, accessible only by water. It's here that Jake, a Master Beekeeper who’s been coming here for 20 years, harvested honey so potent, that it represents the near biological limit of what a hive can produce.

976 jars. This is what happens when a beekeeper commits to one place long enough to recognize when nature creates something extraordinary.

What Jake Saw

"When I pulled the frames that first week of December, I knew it was something special. Thick honey. Deep color. Proper strength to it. The highest result we've ever seen.
It's one I'm proud of."
- Jake

Twenty years at one location. One extraordinary December. One moment that created something he'd never seen before.

The Sensory Profile of
Sanctuary Coast

Resinous. Deep. Salt-mist and dark caramel.

Every spoonful carries the terroir of its origin. The old Mānuka trees. The coastal wind. The salt air. The bees' work at their absolute peak. The rare convergence of conditions that created MGO 1800+.

This is what the highest grade we've ever produced tastes like.

Suggestion to enjoy

A Note from Jake,

Master Beekeeper

A graphic of tan double quotation marks.

There’s an old harbour church near this site that’s been standing longer than I’ve been keeping bees.
You usually have to cross by boat to get there. It’s quiet. Just wind off the coast and the hum of bees in a clearing ringed with old Mānuka trees.
The 2023 season lined up perfectly. Warm days. Strong flowering. Plenty of nectar coming in.
When I pulled the frames that first week of December, I knew it was something special. Thick honey. Deep color. Proper strength to it. The highest result we’ve ever seen.
It’s one I’m proud of.
